Creating your playlists is the first thing you do, how and where you organise your music is very important, having the correct file format, bit rate and so on.

• How to use Rekordbox - (45 Mins)

Rekordbox is the software most DJ's use to transfer their music from computer to USB, in this topic you will learn how to use the software in detail as well as the benefits of doing so.

• Where to get your music - (30 Mins)

Simply downloading music from any source is a big NO! In this topic we will go over where the best sources are for your music and how to get yourself on mailing lists.

• How to Set-up your equipment and test - (30 Mins)

Most DJ's expect to show up and just play, which is pretty much what you should do but when and if there is a technical problem, why wouldn't you want to know and understand how to fix it yourself rather than waiting for someone else to come do it for you? In this subject we will go over how to set up the basic DJ kit and understand how it all works.

• Basic Pioneer CDJ Functions and Effects - (45 Mins)

Pioneer CDJ's have so many effects and features to make DJ'ing not only easier but more fun for you and your crowd, in this subject we will go over the basic functions of a CDJ and the effects you can use whilst playing on them.

• Advanced Pioneer CDJ Functions and Effects - (1 Hour)

This subject is a more advanced look into CDJ's, their effects and functions.

• Basic Pioneer DJM Functions and Effects - (45 Mins)

Pioneer DJM's are also very complicated pieces of kit these days with lots of functions and effects, here we will go over the basics.

• Advanced Pioneer DJM Functions and Effects - (1 Hour)

This subject will take a more detailed look into the Pioneer DJM, all of the effect and functions.

• Beginner Beat Matching - (45 Mins)

Beat matching is one of the most important things you need to master before you try and get yourself gigs on the scene, here we will do just that.

• Advanced Beat Matching - (1 Hour)

A more advanced look into beat matching, some tricks of the trade and how to use the CDJ's to help you.

​

• Watching your levels and EQ - (30 Mins)

Putting on music and turning up the volume is NOT going to get you rave reviews if you don't understand the way sound works and how to make sure it sounds good for your audience.

• How to record your sets - (30 Mins)

Depending on the kit you use, there are different ways of recording and broadcasting your set for people to hear, here we will go over them.

• How to utilise your social media and online presence for listens and gigs - (45 Mins)

Times have changed and to be a successful professional DJ you need to not only be good at what you do, you need to be engaged online with social media, here we will go over in detail how and what to do.
